STILL A FEW TAGS REMAINING FOR THE UPCOMING 2013 SEASON!!
At this date I have a few tags remaining for the coming season and can accommodate hunters during mid September as well as a few in late September and early October for anyone looking at hunting hard horn.
We had a great season in 2012 with many fine trophy bulls taken. We might not have the numbers we had back in the 80’s but today with over 500,000 confirmed animals in our region – our caribou are healthier and heavier than we have ever seen them. Nature does have a way of righting itself and the caribou are looking real good with excellent trophy prospects for the upcoming hunting season.
We will be operating three camps in 2013 – Charlie Lake, North Camp and Helen Falls. At this point all the regular guides and cooks have confirmed their plans of returning. Guides scheduled for 2012 are Gordy Buckle, Jason Bilodeau, Jerry McDonald, Peter Wellman, Jack and Donald Buckle as well as the greatest cooks in the North – Evon Buckle and Vicky Wellman. Many of these friends and staff members have worked with me for over 25 years – anyone would be hard pressed to find a more sincere bunch of hard working guides and cooks.
I am in and out of the office these days preparing my supply purchases for the coming season so reaching me by phone could be difficult but do leave me a message and your number and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Email is probably the best way to communicate with me.
With the arrival of Spring - I am looking forward to getting back up North – after 35 years of working in the Ungava Region I still get a little itchy at this time of the year – looking forward to getting back to the Arctic.
